Welcome! An Introduction and Some Rambling...

Hi! Welcome to my first foray into blogging! I'm 4.5 years into this business and I feel like I have so so much to share!

Ok, first things first. I'm Chaya Moskowitz from Vignette Studios. I am a mom of three absolutely delicious and stunning boys with whom I may be slightly obsessed.

Yup, thats them. See what I mean?

I have been a creative artist my entire life, as is my mom and my grandmother before her. I always had an eye for color, design, and style, and I get intense pleasure from beautiful things. I love to draw and paint, and was a graphic artist for many years. Ironically, photography was the one area I never ventured; so much so that in my post high school year in Israel, I went through THREE (yup, you heard me right, I lost one after the other!) cameras and suffice to say, I left that year with no photos!

However, after my second child, Moshe, was born, I came to the realization that newborns, children, families, and people, are the ultimate in beauty. The emotions I feel when staring at a photo of my children is incomparable.

My journey in photography took a while, although I always knew that photographing newborns was my calling. Playing with light to create the most pleasing look had been a

never ending journey, because in photography, light is the ABSOLUTE KEY to it all (definitely more on that in later blogs!)

I call this a journey because in truth, I am never fully satisfied with my level of photography and business. I am always working and taking more courses to improve and learn more skills, and I am always coming up with more ways to make my clients feel pampered and happy.

I'm excited to use this forum to share with you, my dear readers, anything that's on my mind! Whether it's to explain certain aspects of photography, editing, sessions, value, wall art... you name it!
